    Anna Castelli Ferrieri (1918-2006) was a pioneering Italian architect and industrial designer, known for her influential work in furniture design and her role as a co-founder of Kartell, one of the most renowned Italian design companies. As one of the first female architects to graduate from the Politecnico di Milano, Castelli Ferrieri became a leading figure in the post-war Italian design movement, famous for her use of new materials like plastics.

    She is best known for designing the iconic Componibili storage units, a series of modular, stackable furniture pieces that combined practicality with a sleek, modern aesthetic. Her work is celebrated for its innovative use of materials, functional elegance, and forward-thinking approach, helping to shape the landscape of modern design. Castelli Ferrieri’s legacy remains influential, reflecting her dedication to blending technology, aesthetics, and everyday usability.
